Founder's Story
Influential Growth was founded in 2021 by Behaviour Support Practitioner Laura, who set out to create the kind of organisation she had always wished existed — one that genuinely supports its practitioners to grow, learn, and deliver behaviour support that leads to real, lasting change for participants.
From the beginning, Laura's vision was to build a practice that not only empowers practitioners but also fosters strong, collaborative relationships with families and wider support networks, ensuring that positive changes are generalised across all areas of a participant's life.
With the ultimate goal of helping participants achieve their goals and live less restrictive, more fulfilling lives, Laura drew on her years of experience to establish a service where professional development, clinical supervision, and authentic connection form the foundation for meaningful outcomes.
By 2024, Influential Growth had grown beyond what one person could manage alone. Wanting to ensure the company continued to reflect her values and maintain its high standard of practice, Laura made the decision to sell to a larger organisation she trusted to carry her vision forward.
At the same time, Jo Bailey was looking to expand into the professional services sector within the NDIS. When Jo and Laura met during discussions about the sale, it quickly became clear that they shared the same vision and values — a commitment to quality, integrity, and sustainable growth. With more than 30 years of experience across ADHC and the NDIS, Jo saw in Influential Growth not just a strong business, but a practice built on heart and purpose.
As the new owner, Jo integrated Influential Growth into her established NDIS enterprise, supported by a skilled leadership team covering the behind-the-scenes business needs. This collaboration created a strong foundation for continued growth while allowing Laura to focus on developing practitioners and providing the guidance they need to deliver exceptional, sustainable services.
Together, Laura, Jo and the extended leadership team have built a partnership founded on mutual respect, shared experience, and a clear vision for the future. With a strong operational base and a focus on practitioner development, Influential Growth continues to evolve — expanding its reach while remaining grounded in the belief that meaningful, lasting change begins with well-supported people.
